SUSTAINABLE INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

KA220-SCH – Cooperation partnerships in school education

The above law defines the aim of special education as:

  • a) the all-round and harmonious development of the personality of pupils with disabilities and special educational needs;
  • b) the improvement and utilization of their potential and skills in order to enable their integration or reintegration into general school, where and when possible;
  • c) the integration, in accordance with their potential, into the educational system, social life and professional activity;
  • d) mutual acceptance, their harmonious coexistence with society as a whole and their equal social development, with the aim of ensuring full accessibility for pupils with disabilities and pupils with special educational needs, as well as for teachers and/or parents and guardians with disabilities, to all the infrastructure (buildings, equipment, including electronic equipment), services and goods available to them.

Mar 2025: As part of the Erasmus+ project “Sustainable Inclusive Education (SIE)”, a multiplier event was organised at the Department of Computer, Informatics & Telecommunications Engineering of the International Hellenic University (IHU), Serres Campus. The event brought together undergraduate students, secondary school learners, academic staff, and educational stakeholders, with a focus on the dissemination of the project’s objectives and results related to inclusive and sustainable education. May 2025: An Erasmus Day dissemination event was organised in May 2025 at the International Hellenic University (Serres Campus), within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Sustainable Inclusive Education”
(SIE). The event was implemented as an activity aiming at the dissemination of the project and its results to the academic and educational community.
During the event, the project Sustainable Inclusive Education (SIE) was presented, including its objectives, partnership, target groups, and main intellectual outputs. Participants were informed about the development of the SIE curriculum, the project’s e-learning platform, and the digital educational resources produced during the implementation of the project. The event was attended by students, who were introduced to the project outcomes and the available digital tools.
Information was provided on how the project results can be accessed and used in educational and academic contexts. SIE_ErasmusDay ComputerGR
